Are Blue Door Meals hot or cold when I get them?
We call our family-style meals and proteins "heat-and-serve" dishes. After we cook them, they are cooled, packaged, and refrigerated until pickup or delivery. When you are ready, you can heat and enjoy them.
Are the Blue Door Meals entire meals or just the protein?
Our menu features both! Some items, like our Baked Ziti, are complete meals ready to heat and enjoy. Other items, such as our Savory Pork, provide the main protein, giving you the freedom to add your family’s favorite toppings and sides. Our goal is to handle the most time consuming part of dinner, letting you customize it to fit your family's needs.
Will the food still taste good if I'm reheating it?
Yes! All of our meals taste just as good (sometimes better!) reheated as they do if you were to eat them fresh. Most meals and proteins can be heated in the microwave to achieve fresh-from-the-oven results. We recommend certain items, such as taquitos, be heated in an air fryer or oven at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes to achieve optimal crispiness.
How soon do I need to eat my Blue Door Meals?
Most meals and proteins are best eaten within 3 days, but can be stored in the fridge for up to a week, and up to 3 months in the freezer. We offer complimentary vacuum sealing if you plan to freeze part or all of your meals. When ordering, just put a note in the "special request" box.
Where do you deliver?
We're still a small business, and our delivery radius is small too. We hope to expand it in the future. We currently only deliver within a couple miles of 84109. You can find our delivery map HERE.
Where do I pickup my order?
Our pickup location is approximately 2700 S and 2000 E. The exact location will be sent once your order has been submitted.
How do I pay?
For now, we only accept offline payments via Venmo. After you submit an order, you will receive a link to our Venmo information. If you do not have Venmo, please reach out to make other payment arrangements. Eventually we plan to accept credit card payments online, but until then, enjoy the fee savings by paying offline!
Can I add items from different weeks to the same shopping cart?
Please place separate orders for items scheduled for different weeks. We treat each week as a separate production cycle to ensure maximum freshness and quality, so keeping the orders distinct is crucial for our kitchen schedule.
If you accidentally include items from multiple weeks in a single order, don't worry! We will automatically adjust the pickup or delivery dates for those conflicting items, then contact you directly to confirm the revised schedule and ensure the new dates work for you.
What days can I order Blue Door Bites?
We offer our Blue Door Bites by pre-order only. Exact availability can be found on the Blue Door Bites ordering page. For weekend or rush orders, please contact us directly to work something out.
Do you provide catering?
Absolutely! We'd love to provide a hot meal and fresh dessert for your next family dinner, school event, or work party. Contact us to discuss menu options and pricing.
